Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Can you be my primary care clinician or gynecologist?
    • No. While Kristin Gianelis, DNP is board-certified as a Nurse Practitioner in both Adult Primary Care and Women’s and Gender-Related Care, she has chosen to focus her practice on specialty care. We ask that you maintain a relationship with a primary care provider while engaged with our services.
  • What does MSCP mean?
    • Kristin is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner. This is an additional level of certification
  • What are your hours of operation?
    • We are a small micro-practice with flexible hours to fit our clients' needs. Hours vary but always include at least one evening and weekend day per week. Appointment availability can be found online. (Additional times by email request.)
  • What states do you see clients in via telehealth?
    • Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maine, Connecticut, and Virginia!
  • What appointments can be done via telehealth?
    • Nearly all concerns can be addressed via telehealth. Labs and medications are sent electronically and you may use local pharmacies and lab draw stations., If an exam is deemed necessary and you are not local to RI, Kristin may refer you to an appropriate provider near you.
  • Where are you located?
    • We are providing care by telehealth at this time. Stay tuned for a new physical location coming soon

  • Do you accept health insurance?
    • No, unfortunately, our model of care is not supported by insurers. Because we value time spent with clients, Real Wellness for Humans has chosen not to participate in any in-network plans.
    • Our initial consults are 60-90 minutes long, and our follow-up visits are 30-45 minutes long. Health insurers do not allow for this length of time!
    • We are a cash-pay, fee-for-service practice.
    • Payment is due at the time of service. We accept most major credit cards and HSA/FSA accounts.
    • For clients with “out-of-network” benefits, we can provide a Superbill for you to file with your insurance company. Please contact your insurance company to determine benefits. Real Wellness for Humans cannot guarantee reimbursement.
